Looping Cuts and Node Editors

While this may not look like to took 8 years to learn how to work intuitively with Blender, it did.   Finally I am beginning to feel comfortable with the process from start to finish.   A long time and a lot of piecing together research from here and there.   I did attend my 7 lessons with a blender teacher (who subsequently lost internet connections), and the rest were found the hard way - rummaging through wikis and barely  legible you tubes.
I kept saying it wasn't worth it, but I kept going back to see if I missed something.  I was missing much.  At this moment I am particularly fond of loop cuts, ambient occlusion and the node editor, but there are lots of reason to create a workflow to work with.   The results are more in keeping with the appearance of my original inspiration, a Cyan build.   Still a ways to go.  Only perfect practice makes practice perfect (loathe that silly phrase), but my 31 days of "nothing but Blender" were well worth the detour, regardless of what props I should need for my next storybuild.
